12/05/10 - SFL Music Magazine from Florida is featuring Heaven Below as it's cover story for December 2010. The four page interview was conducted in Miami during the band's recent Horns N' Halos Tour. Click here to download the magazine in PDF. Thanks to Matthew Pashalian for making this happen!
SFL Music got the chance to see two sides of the band back to back. One evening, a peel-the-paint-off-the-walls electric set; and the next, a stripped-down “Unplugged” set that lasted almost two hours. Somewhere in all of that, we got the band to sit still to talk about everything from songwriting and Norwegian death metal to some fairly humorous advice from some current musical vets.
11/30/10 - Louisiana based Audios Maximus sent "The Tour Bus Music Show" to interview Heaven Below's Patrick Kennison and Jesse Billson during the 2010 Horns N' Halos Tour.
In this weeks episode we will be featuring HEAVEN BELOW. This group has been rocking the U.S and Canada with their recently concluded Horns & Halos Tour. In this episode we feature an interview with Patrick Kennison (formally of Union Underground) and Jesse “Bawls” Billson and we feature tracks several tracks from their recent self-titled E.P., including their hit “When Daylight Dies”. Patrick & Jesse share with us what makes them rock & their tour buses roll and on where they are going in the near future. This is a band that you have got to catch on tour if they are coming to your city

11/22/10 - Modern Drummer Magazine, considered the Sports Illustrated of the drumming world, posted a front page feature on drummer Chad Clark today.
This year you can find me with my prized black-on-black Noble & Cooley drums touring with Heaven Below throughout the U.S. and Canada in support of our EP. The first single, “When Daylight Dies,” is gaining airplay across the country. In addition to Heaven Below and previous albums from several other artists, I can be found on upcoming releases from Caitlyn Taylor Love (Disney XD), Gary Jefferies (Asphalt Ballet), and performances with Lukas Rossi (Rockstar Supernova) among a funk/R&B band or two.
11/12/10 - Heavy Metal powerhouse KNAC is featuring Heaven Below on the front page of KNAC.com. Read the full article here. Also check out video from the band's recent on-air interview at KNAC Studios in Hollywood, CA.
11/12/10 - South Florida Music Magazine published a great review of Heaven Below's self-titled EP in their November 2010 issue. The magazine can be downloaded free in Adobe Acrobat PDF format here. The review is on page 32/33.
11/03/10 - I first met Patrick Kennison back when he was in a band called the Union Underground. I hung out with & became friendly with both Patrick & John Moyer, bassist for Union Underground & current bassist for DISTURBED, the year of 2001 was a fun one & Patrick spent most of that year on the road supporting Marilyn Manson, Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Papa Roach, Linkin Park & many, many more!
11/03/10 - Myglobalmind:There has been a uprising in the metal and hard rock scene of late due to the change in the industry and a wave of new bands hitting the spotlight. What can Heaven Below bring to the table in terms of originality?
Patrick:We feel we can bring some of the arena bombast that music has been missing for awhile. Even though there are great bands already doing that, we feel our cinematic take on a live show and emphasis on lyrics & production keep it from being cheesy or “bad 80's-like”.
11/02/10 - EXCLUSIVE MAGAZINE recently had the opportunity to sit down with Patrick Kennison, front man for HEAVEN BELOW, and first we discussed why they had chosen to self-title their debut album? "We almost called the album 'Demonocracy,' which is a new song we held back from the release because it was a bit too aggressive next to the songs that made it. We decided to finish all the less radio friendly material after completing the EP tracks. Our next release will be our "Slave To The Grind" so to speak. We self titled this release as an introductory to the band."
11/02/10 - I love it when I find a new group, that embraces the heart and soul of 80's hard rock, and makes it sound fresh. My latest find, is a band called Heaven Below, and they have a new EP that kicks ass. HB has an 80's hard rock sound mixed with a cool heavy modern edge to it. The EP kicks off with the track Dying Vicariously which is a mid tempo rocker that has more of a modern vibe to it. This is a cool track but it wasn't until the 2nd track When Daylight Dies, that I started to get hooked. The track starts off slow but then picks up after the chorus. The song is fueled by a cool riff and a stand up and shout type chorus.
10/28/10 - Newspaper sites across greater Los Angeles, California today were treated to an interview with Heaven Below's Jesse Billson. Here's a few of them.
10/26/10 - Is Heaven Below the next Guns N' Roses? We at HeavenBelow.com sure think so. Turns out so do a lot of people in the music industry. Here's a pretty smokin' review from American based online magazine Hardrock Haven.
If the TV show True Blood had an official rock band, it would be Heaven Below. Born from the ashes of The Union Underground, Heaven Below is singer and songwriter Patrick Kennison’s comeback statement and artistic vision of what a rock ‘n f****in’ roll band should be: badass look, well-crafted songs, pro musicianship and a high energy live show. And they swear by B.C. Rich guitars. Very cool.
